At your first visit, we would like to sit down with you and listen to your concerns and reasons for seeking orthodontic treatment. We will review your medical and dental history, and then examine your teeth, bite and jaw joints.
Many times at this first visit we will be able to closely estimate your treatment plan and possible options. We can outline our payment plans, and if you have insurance benefits we can help evaluate your coverage.
Before any treatment is started we will need to complete our routine pretreatment records which include x-rays of your teeth and jaws, impressions of your teeth, and photographs of your face and mouth. We allow time for this to be completed at your first visit.
For some patients with complex problems or treatment options, the doctors will need to review all your pretreatment information before formalizing your plan. A treatment plan review appointment will then be scheduled so that we may thoroughly review your options with you.
